Hello. I am Max Gibbs-Ruby.

I am happy to be of counsel at Gibbs-Ruby Law, PLLC. I will not be taking family law cases but can provide assistance and support with the following:

• Small Claims Court preparation; (you can’t be represented at your hearing, but I can help you be well-prepared with all the documents you might need)

• Wills;

• Probate;

• Small estate affidavits (estates under $100,000);

• Durable powers of attorney; 

• Advance directives for health care;

• Mental health care, dementia, and end of life planning;

• Name and gender changes

A pacific northwesterner at heart, I graduated with my J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2014.  Since then I have served at a local non-profit, and as a policy analyst and program manager for the state of Washington, assisting immigrants, refugees, and those exiting incarceration.  When I am not working or volunteering, I am a passionate beekeeper, and I also enjoy reading, writing, the outdoors, attending the opera or ballet, and games of all kinds. I live in south King county with my spouse, our two cats, three dogs, what plants we can manage to keep alive, and about 40,000 honeybees.
